We produce small quantities of hand made, vineyard specific wines from Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre.
With these three varieties which, in our view express themselves in McLaren Vale better than any others, we take a minimalist approach in the winery – our role is to encourage, not direct our wines through fermentation and maturation. We neither fine nor filter our wine.
We seek to make wines with structure, texture and a balance of finesse and power, intensity and roundness, and a purity and complexity of flavours, to ensure they are readily enjoyed with food and adaptable with a wide range of dishes, and have the capacity to age gracefully.
However, and above all, we seek to make wines which reflect their sense of place and the seasons in which they are grown.
